As the Director & Paramedical Tattoo Artist at Body Toowoomba, Melinda has been a traditionally trained tattoo artist for 5 years and holds a Bachelor's degree in Design and a Certificate in Trauma Coaching. 

Her experience, education and attention to detail have proven her to be a leader in her industry, as a realism and 3D tattoo artist. She has created a space where clients feel safe and welcome to be their most vulnerable selves, in a judgement-free zone. 

Along with her Highfields business, Rose & Thorn, Melinda manages her time between the two clinics, while liaising with breast cancer foundations & fundraisers. 

The most rewarding part of her job is the satisfaction of seeing her clients smile at themselves in the mirror after their appointment. 

When she’s not busy being a boss lady, Melinda loves to get creative drawing portraits and visiting her family & friends at home in New Zealand.

Jason Kropp

An unfulfilling 20-year career in construction led Jason to explore a new career path in Scalp Micropigmentation, where he could help individuals regain confidence. 

Since completing his SMP course, Jason has established himself with a loyal clientele, through his methodological and attention to detail approach. 

A process that Jason prides himself on is how each SMP client is given a tailored tattoo experience by using the Fitzpatrick scale to determine the perfect colour. 

He hopes to educate regional areas about SMP and bring smiles to alopecia, chemotherapy or balding individuals, knowing there is a non-surgical treatment available. 

On days when Jason isn’t holding a tattoo machine, you’ll find him on the golf course with a driver.

Lena Reay

We are lucky to have Lena’s presence at Body Toowoomba, once a month. Lena comes equipped with a Diploma in Beauty Therapy, Design, and Cosmetic Tattooing.

Having worked in the beauty industry for 14 years, Lena is passionate about aesthetics and felt it was only natural to progress into cosmetic artistry, after mastering brows & lashes. Now two years into cosmetic tattooing, Lena prides herself on her loyal clientele who she helps achieve natural-looking results, every time. 

After only 3 months in cosmetic tattooing, Lena was nominated for The Australian Beauty and Cosmetic Tattoo Awards (ABACTA) Rising Star award. 

Before being based on the Gold Coast, Lena called New Zealand home and when she finds time outside of her busy schedule, you will find her on a plane headed home to visit her family & friends.
